“Live life to the fullest and travel often.”

country: United States
occupation: professional portrait photographer
religion: none

Last great book I read:
"Everything Is Illuminated" by Johnathan Safran Foer or "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. Both moved me deeply.
3 things I want to do before I die:
1. Travel the world
2. Meet the right person for me.
3. Have my photographs and/or artwork hung in a gallery.
Last thing I experienced that impressed or amazed me:
A meteor shower in July. It made me realize how little a lot in life really mattered when nature could put on a show as impressive as that.
Tell us a story:
I went back to college twice. Once when I was 27 to study fine art. I got fed up with the program because they were gearing everyone to be teachers...definitely not my thing...so I went and house-sat my grandma's house in San Diego for 9 months. It was nice to be back in a city where I was born and felt comfortable in but, I came back to Washington to attend college and study photography at the age of 31. Now I am headed back to San Diego to start life (shoudl be there by winter), meet new people, and further my career as a photographer. I am very excited about this.
What you should know about me:
I am 100% a city girl. I love all the cities have to offer be it cutltural events, museums, art galleries, restaurants, clubs, ect. I could easily live in a city, downtown, for the rest of my life. I love the noise, many things to do, large amounts of people, and fast-paced life in the city. I do like nature but I am not a country girl at all. I dislike country music, country lifestyles, and rednecks. I would be too bored in the country if I were forced to live there.

I long to travel the world and have world travel penciled in on my "life schedule". I have the travel bug and I have to travel often, even if it is just a road trip, or else I get frustrated and creatively drained.

I am very observant. I see things about people, even from a distance, before they tell me about them...just by how they write, act, or what they talk about. I think this may come from being an photographer/artist.

I am a girlie girl in many ways, yet also am intelligent . This means I may love to shop and look nice, but I also can talk about serious subjects and let my opinion be known in conversations. This also means I expect people to think around me, not just exist.

I am a bit ambitious. I am currently planning to move to a bigger city and to start a life that includes my photography. I also want to travel in connection to my photography. I enjoy men who are ambitious and actually working at brining their ambitions to life. Lazy men are a huge turn-off.

I don't care about what is "in" or "cool". Yes, I am aware of what is "hip" but I really don't care personally. I like what I like and don't like what I don't like. I don't let my peers define who I am. This means I may listen to bands who have "sold out" or like things that are "too corporate" according to some people. I truly don't understand people who set up "cannot does" for themselves. I find it a waste of time to "boycott Starbucks" because they are an "evil corporate parasite". I actually go to Starbucks when I feel like it. I don't care if any of the bands I like are "total sell-outs". If the music appeals to me, I will listen to it. Life is too short to worry about stuff being "popular" or "too corporate". Enjoy yourself, like what you want to like, and don't harrass people who don't think the same way as you do about things.

I dislike "negative creeps", those people who always have drama in their life, are always down or angry at the world, and have negative things to say about everything. I hate how they try to inflict their minset on other people around them. I stir clear of them because they suck the fun out of everything.

I am into fashion and contribute to a fahsion blog online as well as keep my own. I really like guys who take care of their appearance and dress nice. it's attractive to me.
More about what I am looking for:
Friends who like to exchange creative ideas and converse about movies, books, travel, fashion, music, ect. This goes for both sexes (female and male) since one can never have too many friends.

Men who have a life going on, jobs that pay decently, creative interests, take care of their appearance, are in decent shape (I am in shape so you should be too.), like to converse, are not negative in personality, are not addicted to drugs/alchohol/ect, don't stay at home all the time, like to go out, and don't play games in friendships and/or relationship/dating situations.

When it comes to men, I am not looking for "hook-ups" or "friends with benefits". I am acutally looking for someone I can enter a relationship with. I am not a fast mover, I usually start out as friends and see what happens from there. Yet I am not a super slow mover either, if I like someone I am not going to let the chance with them slip away. I am a romantic at heart and know that the right man is out there for me...I just haven't met him yet.
